COLOUR GUARD----requirements--- knowledge of marching required to carry flags. . . training will be provided . . .
PIPERS ----requirements--- knowledge of marching , 2 to 3 years experience playing the bagpipes. Players that have music experience that are willing to get instruction from experienced pipers and are committed on learning to play the bagpipes we are interested . . .
DRUMMERS -- requirements--knowledge of marching , experience in playing the snare drum . . . players that have experience will be trained on how to play mass beatings and additional scores for parades . . .
All players (men or women) that are interested in joining the Edmonton Transit Pipe Band must be 18 years of age or older. All players willing to learn the above positions will be given free instruction by experienced and qualified players.
New lessons in learning the bagpipes will begin early in 2010 a date has not been decided at this time ,lessons will be free but the practice chanter you will have to purchase from the band ..please check with the web site or contact Terry Ruddell for further info …
